SV is an apparatus that is specifically designed for the first implementation of the TUMO Center for Creative Technologies (École pour la création numérique) in France. The device, which will be located in the entrance hall of the Forum des images in Paris, will incorporate a computer terminal connected to the center’s network. The sixteen devices will be used alongside one large space for semi-autonomous learning, in addition to three smaller classrooms for workshops, totaling one-hundred-fifty posts. When not in use, all sixteen SV workstations will travel vertically and take position at the ceiling level, liberating the space below for other functions. The repositioning of the sixteen stations back at the reception level, hovering at only forty centimeters above ground, will announce the start of the work sessions. In plan, the sixteen devices are laid out in a formation similar to that of fighter planes on the deck of an aircraft carrier before takeoff. In a strategy which is reminiscent of the first TUMO mobile stations, specifically conceived for TUMO Yerevan, SV is not just a functional object; it celebrates the pleasure of the exceptional educational experience engineered by the TUMO organization.
